Dr. Vandan Desai, DDS
Owner + Surgical Dentist
Dr. Desai is an alumnus of the University of Maryland. He pursued and completed a two-year residency program from Pennsylvania, specializing in implant prosthodontics and wisdom teeth extraction. He was born in India and eventually shifted to Maryland.
Dr. Desai brings his commitment to excellence, never-quit attitude, and years of training and experience to provide his patients with quality dental care in a relaxed environment. He firmly believes that his profession gives him the chance to bring smiles to his patients’ faces, which acts as an impetus for him to do better and keep all his patients happy and satisfied.
In his spare time, Dr. Desai enjoys traveling the world and spending quality time with his wife and son. They enjoy exploring new cities and different cuisines together. Dr. Desai also likes to stay up to date with advances in technology.
Dr. James (Jim) Foster
General Dentist
Dr Foster attended Texas A&M University and the University of Texas Dental School-Houston. After graduating from dental school, he joined his dad practicing in East Texas. They eventually sold the practice when his dad retired and Dr Foster has since practiced in South Texas, Montana and Alaska. But Texas is home to his two boys and their families and it was time to move back to Texas. San Antonio had always been on his list of favorite cities, so it made sense to move here to live and practice. With his goal in dentistry being to help others by providing quality dentistry, joining La Cantera Dental was an obvious choice.
Dr Foster has twice been nominated for the Texas AGD Dentist of the Year, past board member of the Texas Dental Association and past chair of the Texas Dental Meeting held annually in San Antonio. In his spare time he enjoys fishing, golf, sporting events and concerts.
Dr. Clark A. Hepworth, DDS
General Dentist
Clark A. Hepworth, DDS has been practicing general dentistry for nearly a decade and believes dental visits shouldn’t feel like a punishment.
Dr. Hepworth is especially good with nervous and skeptical patients, using patience, clear explanations, and an unapologetic amount of humor. If you hear a corny dad joke during your appointment, that’s intentional. And most of his patients would agree that Dr. Hepworth's stunning good looks are just what was needed to relax and enjoy their dental appointment. (Individual results may vary)
Originally from Kansas and now practicing in Texas, Dr. Hepworth can personally testify that: Kansas City barbecue is better than Texas barbecue. Please, just trust him on this one.
Dr. Hepworth has been married since 2014 and he and his wife have two rambunctious boys. Dr. Hepworth believes that family comes first.
